Summary

Warning: Spoilers for Ultimate Spider-Man #7!One of Daredevil’s villains could prove to be the deadliest threat thatSpider-Manhas ever faced. One of the caveats to the Marvel Universe being a shared universe is that it means superheroes can fight villains from a different hero’s rogues' gallery all the time. Most recently, Spider-Man has been presented with a regular from Daredevil’s rogues' gallery, and it’s already destined to be his biggest challenge.

Daredevil’s most devastating nemesis Bullseyepays a visit toUltimate Spider-Man#7 by Jonathan Hickman, Marco Checchetto, Matthew Wilson, and VC’s Cory Petit. Well, sort of. Inthe revamped Ultimate Universe, Bullseye isn’t just a singular character. Instead,in this world, Bullseye is an entire unit.

Kingpin has a conversation in Ultimate Spider-Man #7

The latest evolution of Bullseye takes his villainy to a whole new level by spreading him out into an entire squad capable of destroying one of Marvel’s biggest superheroes. And it’s already looking unlikely for Spider-Man to survive.

Ultimate Bullseye Debuts in the New Ultimate Universe

And He’s Not Just One Character

Ultimate Spider-Man#7 takes a break from the action between the title character and the Green Goblin (Harry Osborn) to pivot to the Kingpin having a conversation with the once presumed dead Captain Britain.Just like Marvel’s original Captain Britain, this one’s death was a lie. Both men are members of the Maker’s Council, the Ultimate equivalent of the Illuminati, existing to carry out the evil deeds of The Maker. When Bullseye first emerged as an assassin attacking the Green Goblin inUltimate Spider-Man#3, it seemed that he, too, was amember of the Maker’s Council.

When Bullseye disappeared into the night following his confrontation with the Goblin, it would be safe to assume that this Bullseye would be the one and only. To the surprise of everyone readingUltimate Spider-Man#7,that Bullseye was just one of many, as Captain Britain offers his agents to Kingpin, revealing a horde of them. It’s unclear yet if these are meant to be clones of the same assassin or if they’re all just equally skilled hitmen, but the results can’t be good for Spidey either way.

A Group is a Problem for Everyone

As much as Bullseye regularly causes issues for Daredevil, this isn’t the first time he’s been a thorn in Spider-Man’s side. It was in Dan Slott and John Romita Jr.‘sAmazing Spider-Man#572 that Bullseye battled the title character as part of the “New Ways to Die” storyline. If not for a bit of help from Anti-Venom and taking an opportunity to outsmart Bullseye, Spidey would be a goner. And that’s just the one Bullseye he struggled with.Spider-Manmight find it nightmarish having to deal with several Bullseyes, all just as precise as the last.

Ultimate Spider-Man#7 is on sale now from Marvel Comics.
