Sergeant JJ Kinney’s role in the military is as a JTAC officer. JTAC is an acronym for Joint Terminal Attack Controller. A JTAC works with forces in the air and on the ground to identify enemies, people on their team, and civilians, and they use these findings to direct aircraft in the right direction to avoid friendly fire and casualties. In preparation for the role,Eubank had contact with a JTAC, who also had the nickname Kinney, and he came to visit the set in Australia during filmingto help advise the team.
