One such project Taylor-Joy has on the horizon is the Apple TV+ adaptation ofLucky. Created byBanshee’s Jonathan Tropper and based on Marissa Stapley’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, the miniseries is set to focus on Taylor-Joy’s title character, a young woman attempting to leave her life of crime behind, though she stumbles upon a lucky break that could either break her free for good or land her in jail. Alongside Taylor-Joy,theLuckycast is also set to include Annette Bening as Priscilla, a dangerous mob leader.

PerDeadline, Olyphant has now been tapped to join the cast ofLucky. The three-time Emmy nominee is set to star in the crime drama as John Armstrong,the father of Taylor-Joy’s character in the Apple TV+ limited series. In the original novel, John was responsible for teaching his daughter to become an accomplished scam artist, thus putting her on the path of the life of crime she’s working desperately to escape.
