However, previously, if you wanted to open a recently created note within the Notes app, you had to leave your current note, return to your list of notes, and either scroll or search for the note manually.

If you frequently switch between notes to reference important details, this can get time-consuming. Thankfully, with iOS 18, the Notes app has received an update that lets you view recent notes without leaving the current one. Here’s what you need to do:

A list of your most recent notes should now appear. Clicking any of these notes will allow you to instantly switch to it.

Steps to Clear Your Note History

Whether for privacy reasons or to stop irrelevant notes from showing up, you can also clear the Recent Notes list whenusing the iPhone Notes app. Here’s what you need to do:

This will clear the list of notes, but every note you add or open will reappear in the Recent Notes menu.
