Solar Opposites Season 5 Is Taking Some Bold Swings (Particularly The Wall)
Much like the show’s Christmas special and subsequent season 3 premiere,Solar Oppositesseason 5looks to be primarily picking up the story from the Valentine’s Day special. The season 4 finale notably saw the titular family transform into humans after their extended stay on Earth, only for the holiday episode to subsequently revert them to aliens. Though this may have proven an interesting thread to follow up on, the show’s loose timeline has made this less of an issue.
Solar Opposites Season 4 Recap & Ending Explained: 8 Biggest Story Reveals
Solar Opposites season 4 has finally arrived, and the show replacing Justin Roiland with Dan Stevens as Korvo is only one of many big plot reveals.
While theSolar Oppositesseason 5 trailer does tease plenty more sci-fi-related hijinks, it also shows McMahan and Bycel are taking some bold swings with some of their characters, particularly those in The Wall. One of the biggest reveals from the trailer is that The Duke is alive following his season 2 death in which he sacrificed himself to allow Cherie the chance to escape from a possum. Given he was killed fairly brutally and left scarred by the explosion, the trailer seems to indicate a full revival, including a lack of scars, seemingly pointing towards a sci-fi explanation for his return.

With The Duke originally serving as the villainous leader of The Wall in the show’s first season, his return inSolar Oppositesseason 5 is sure to create a major power shift in the ongoing side plot.Season 4 saw Sister Sisto now ruling over The Walland attempting to use Cherie’s baby to influence the population, but with Cherie successfully getting her daughter back, The Duke’s return could not only give the rebel leader an emotional boon, but also a key ally after his redemptive arc with her in season 2.
