A newBelow Deck Down Underseason 3 castwill join Captain Jason Chambers sailing the seas surrounding South Africa, with the trailer promising scandalous boatmances and explosive arguments.

It’s been a fascinating few months for theBelow Deckfranchise. Meanwhile,Gary King faced sexual misconduct allegations, and Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher was pursued by three different crew members onboard.Ben Willoughby and Marie “Sunny” Marquis' boatmanceactually made it off the yacht, and Captain Kerry Titheradge became Captain Lee Rosbach’s official replacement.Below Deck Down Undermight not rise to the occasion.

Chef Tzarina Said It Was Difficult To Film Without Aesha

The Trailer Was An Accurate Representation

Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, a returning cast member, recently commented that it was difficult to film without Aesha, with whom she had become close friends onBelow Deck Down Underseason 2. While she’s happy for Aesha, her statement is telling. Chef Tzarina posted on her Instagram story.

“She’s thriving so much on Med, and I’m just so incredibly, incredibly proud of that girl. And I promise you, this season without her was very very difficult because she was one of my bestest friends in the world.”

Below Deck Down Under

Chef Tzarina’s comments onBelow Deck Down Underseason 3 aren’t exactly reassuring. She commented that the trailer was pretty accurate, and one of the hallmarks of the preview wasChef Tzarina’s potential feud with new Chief Stew Lara Rigby. The new British stew with fourteen years of yachting experience had the audacity to call Chef Tzarina a “d***head.” That definitely wouldn’t have occurred between Chef Tzarina and Aesha.

Below Deck Down Under Might Not Get As Many Viewers Without Aesha

Aesha is definitely the biggest draw toBelow Deck Down Under. Captain Jason won’t pull in as many viewers on his own because fans especially enjoyed his camaraderie with Aesha. While there were rumors of a romantic connection between Aesha and Captain Jason, they assured viewers that they had more of a sibling relationship. With Lara’s potential failure on the boat looming, it’s unlikely that Captain Jason has the same congenial relationship with the new Chief Stew.

Without Aesha, there’s less of a pull to tune inforBelow Deck Down Under. The majority of the crew is new, save for Captain Jason and Chef Tzarina, neither of whom come close to Aesha’s enduring popularity. If the new crew members can’t match Aesha’s onscreen magnetism, the show could be in trouble.

The Other Cast Members Might Not Be Enough To Support The Show

They’re Relatively Unknown

It’s unclear whether the cast will be able to supportBelow Deck Down Underin the future. Captain Jason is stepping it up this year. However, he may have to fire a crew member, and it’s probably one of three people based on the trailer: Chief Stew Lara, Chef Tzarina, and Bosun Wihen Du Toit. Given his siding with Chef Tzarina in her feud with Lara, it’s probably not her. However, it’s not a good sign that Captain Jason can’t control his crew.Below Deck Down Undermight fail without Aesha, but at least she’s thriving onBelow Deck Mediterranean.

Below Deck Down Underpremieres on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
