Sakura and Jolyne Are The People’s Picks

Sakura is one of the most popular characters in anime, and it seems she is just as beloved. Not only was she number one in the hearts of women, but she placed second in the men’s category as well. Besides Maki Zenin, she was the only one to place in the top 5 of both categories and had the most votes by far. This might be surprising given the amount of criticism she gets for her low moments, but it also makes sense due toher inspiring character development and her strength, both physical and mental.

Jolyne is the first and only female protagonist in the beloved Jojo’s franchise, and as such, it is no surprise that she is very popular. What is really shocking, though, is thatshe wasn’t as popular with the women as with the men. As the female representation in a demographic of mostly male main characters, it would be correct to assume she would be a fan favorite among the women, but it seems there are other more beloved characters. Nonetheless, she was still in the top 10 and had a lot of fans.
