Mary Holland debuted as the Puritan spirit in theGhostsseason 4 premiere, determined to make Isaac repent for his sins. Isaac Higgintoot, however, was a Revolutionary War veteran in his day. He convinced Patience they had searched for and missed her. So far, Isaac’s antics have him on the Puritan’s good side.

Managing his relationship with Patience has caused Isaac to neglect his friendship with another spirit, and that needs to change.

Isaac’s relationship with Patience is keeping him occupied, leaving him little time with Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), his best friend inGhosts.Isaac panders to Patience because he is terrified of her, which pays off inGhostsseason 4, episode 3, “Halloween 4: The Witch,” when Isaac convinces Patience to help the other ghosts after she watches TV. Still, Isaac’s entanglement with Patience has overshadowed his relationship with Hetty, which previously added a lot of narrative elements to the series. The pair have only had a few moments together since much of Isaac’s story has been managing threats from the Puritan.

Later, a flashback to Patience dancing to a diabetes medicine commercial suggests that the two had quite a good time.

Still, Isaac and Patience are even closer, becoming ghosts within 85 years of one another. Still, Isaac can balance his friendships. It will just take a moment between the best friends inGhostsseason 4 to give Hetty the attention she deserves. Isaac is going through a lot of personal growth, and Hetty is the perfect confidant to vent to when he has time to talk it out.
