The first tablet from OnePlus packs a sizeable 11.61-inch display that’s sure to catch your eye, especially with its unusual 7:5 ratio and zippy 144 Hz refresh rate, making scrolling as smooth as silk. Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, a heavyweight contender in the processor world, ensuring top-notch performance.

OnePlus Pad: Design and display
OnePlus has made its first tablet stand out from a hoard of other tablets in the market with a distinct and premium-looking design. The front of the device is dominated by an 11.6-inch LCD panel with 2800x2000 resolution, 7:5 aspect ratio, 500 nits of brightness, and 10-bit support. While there are quite a few tablets with 120Hz displays, the OnePlus Pad one-ups them all with its 144Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, OnePlus uses 2.5D curved glass to protect the display, another rarity on Android tablets. The slight curve on the edges will be useful when using navigation gestures.
OnePlus uses CNC-machined aluminum alloy chassis and a “Star Orbit” engraving. The small 6.54 mm bezels at the front further help reinforce that premium look. Unlike most Android tablets, the OnePlus Pad’s 8MP selfie camera is housed in the right-hand side’s bezel, making it ideal for video calls when holding the device in landscape orientation.

The tablet’s rear design also stands out with its odd camera placement. OnePlus has placed the 13MP camera near the device’s top edge when held horizontally. This placement ensures you won’t be taking off-angle pictures when taking pictures with the OnePlus Pad in landscape orientation.
To make the OnePlus Pad stand out from the crowd, the company is only launching it in Halo Green color. While everyone may not like this shade, it will help the 552g heavy tablet to differentiate itself from a hoard of other devices.

OnePlus will offer the Pad with a Stylo and a magnetic keyboard accessory. The former features a claimed 2ms latency, making it ideal for note-taking and sketching purposes. Combined, the accessories can make the OnePlus Pad a productive workhorse for many. For now though, the company has not shared any details about these products.
