Now,One Piecehas released an image of the first script for season 2, revealing a title that teases what the next arc of the manga adaptation is going to be.

One Piece Should Get Far Into The Next Saga
One Pieceseason 1 endedwith a tease of Captain Smoker, a character who first appears in the Loguetown Arc of the manga. Now that season 2, episode 1’s title has been revealed, it confirms the adaptation will be portraying an accurate retelling of the story in live-action. However, it’s unclear how much of the manga will make it into season 2, especially with the first Saga within the Grand Line now looming over the story.
The next stop for the live-action adaptation is the Arabasta Saga, which sees Luffy and his friends hopping from island to island on a journey to the titular country, trying to stop a coup from a new group of villains. Because it’s already been confirmed that Chopper will appear in season 2, the story will get to at least the Drum Island Arc, the second-to-last in the Saga. However, since ending there would leave season 2 on a major cliffhanger, it would make more sense for the story to finish the second Saga by its finale.

12 New One Piece Characters To Expect In Netflix’s Season 2
Netflix’s One Piece adaptation has already introduced many of the original anime’s best characters, but there are 12 more to expect in season 2.
However, the final part of the Saga, the Arabasta Arc, takes up 62 chapters in the manga, making it a rather large part of the story. It might prove difficult to condense into only a few episodes, something that would have to happen given the eight-episode count and the number of important details that appear in other upcoming arcs. WithOne Pieceseason 2 introducing new villainsthat indicate no arcs will be skipped, it seems that, much like season 1, season 2 could end somewhere in the middle of the next Saga.
