Shudder has revealed the release date and new directing lineup for their nextV/H/Santhology film,V/H/S Beyond. TheV/H/Sseries originated in 2012 with the filmV/H/S, which featured several found footage-style clips directed by numerous horror talents. Since then,V/H/Shas had five sequelsin the main series, includingV/H/S/2,V/H/S: Viral,V/H/S/94,V/H/S/99, andV/H/S/85.
Now, Shudderhas revealed the release date and new series of directors forV/H/S Beyond. The release dateisOctober 4th of this year. The directors include Jordan Downey, Christian Long, Justin Long, Justin Martinez, Virat Pal, and Kate Siegel. The Siegel segment, titled “Stowaway,” was written by Mike Flanagan. The segment titles forV/H/S Beyondare “Stork,” “Fur Babies,” “Live and Let Die,” and “Dream Girl.” The announcement also teased a “special presentation” from Jay Cheel. Producers onV/H/S Beyondinclude Josh Goldbloom, James Harris, and Michael Schreiber.

Shot as a found footage experience, V/H/S explores several horror tales in this anthology series from Radio Silence. A group of amateur criminals films themselves heading into a mysterious house after an anonymous tipster hires them to break in and steal a specific videotape. Upon infiltrating the home, they discover the decaying body of an older man in front of a TV, prompting them to explore the last video he watched. However, what waits for them is a series of supernatural and horrific events captured on film that may endanger them as much as the victims they’re watching.
