In a post on X by the movie’s official account,My Hero Academiarecently released anew trailer forMy Hero Academia: You’re Nextwhich is expected torelease in Japan on August 9 and in North American theaters on August 22, 2025.

​​​​​​The new trailer features a new track performed by Vaundy calledHomunculusand introduces the movie’s new original characters, includingYou’re Next’s exciting new villain Dark Might, and his supposed subordinates, whose names have also finally been revealed.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next’s trailer begins with an ominous clip of Dark Might watching All Might’s fight against All For One at Kamino, particularly the titular “you’re next” scene in a room plastered with pictures of All Might. The trailer also reveals the names of several new characters, possibly the minor antagonists of the film named Deborah, Jill & Ugo, Bruno, Paulo, Simon, and Kamil, who Class 1-A will likely face off against as Bakugo and Deku clash with Dark Might as also teased in the trailer.

The latest trailer includes several shots of Bakugo, Todoroki, and Deku mid-action, as well as plenty of explosions, hinting at the explosive action in the upcoming film. Most notably, the new trailer also includes a touching montage of Deku’s first meeting with All Might, and several of their most nostalgic moments throughout the series which are sure to tug at viewers' emotions when the film does come around.
