What Was My Hero Academia Chapter #429 About?

Chapter #429 Gave Deku and Uraraka a Long-Awaited Chat

Chapter #429 was more or less evenly split between two different plotlines. The primary focus of the chapter is on Uraraka, who in the previous chapter had left the school temporarily to go home. Deku quickly finds her, however, as she’s actually not headed home yet, but is looking out over the city alone.Deku managed to get Uraraka to open upto him, and she confessed that she was feeling responsible for Toga’s death. Deku reminded her that, much like how he himself once was told, she doesn’t have to carry that burden alone. Deku even goes so far as to call Uraraka his personal hero, showing how much he appreciates her support.

The other storyline followed the mysterious character introduced in chapter #425, who turned out to have a horrifically tragic past, which they only recently escaped. Wandering through the streets and in need of help, the character’s inner monologue begins to sound a bit villainous, and the comparisons to Tenko Shimura are obvious. However, a woman who calls herself Granny suddenly reaches out to help–and it happens to be the exact same woman who didn’t help Tenko all those years ago. Granny’s gesture of kindness moves the mysterious figure, showing how civilians can have the biggest impact in shaping the world.

My Hero Academia Chapter #430 Marks the Series Finale

There’s No Predicting What Will Be in the Last Chapter

As of now, nothing is known about what chapter #430 might contain. While the last few chapters have had their final page hint at the context of the next chapter, that didn’t happen with #429 (at least not as obviously), so it’s impossible to say exactly what will happen. Many fans are expecting that chapter #430 might be a time-skip epilogue, akin to the final chapters of other manga, likeBleach. Such an epilogue might give a glimpse of the series' heroes all grown up and professional, further showing how the world has changed since the final war with the villains ended.

What can be said for certain is that#430 is the last chapter of the series, and will be responsible for putting the cherry on top of the story that isMy Hero Academia. Fan reactions to a final chapter are often mixed, at least initially, due to the sadness of knowing that this decade-long adventure has finally come to an end. It may be best to go into the final chapter with no expectations to prevent disappointment from getting hopes too high. Hopefully, fans will be able to celebrateMy Hero Academiafinally being completed, and can congratulate its creator, Kohei Horikoshi, on a story well told.
