Thankfully,My Adventures with Supermanseason 2 showed both characters that their beliefs were wrong, with the two heroes coming together and filling a void that had been hurting each of them throughout their lives. How Brainiac Is Finally Defeated In My Adventures With Superman Season 2

Superman, Supergirl & More Save Earth

Superman and Supergirl coming together is a big part of how Brainiac was defeated in theMy Adventures with Supermanseason 2 finale, but many characters contributed to that outcome. One of the most interesting things the show does is bring back characters who played a role throughout this season — and even season 1 — to help out the heroes against Brainiac. While Clark and Kara were both out at the start of the finale due to the Metallos, severalother players rose to the occasion to stand against Brainiac’s invasion of Earth.

While Hank Crenshaw and the Air Force can barely make a dent in Brainiac’s forces, the unexpected arrival ofJohn Henry Irons, aka Steel, and previous Task Force X characters like Livewire and Heat Wavehelpturn the tide, giving Clark and Kara enough time to get back on their feet and formulate a plan to take down the evil AI. While Superman and Supergirl cannot face the Metallos' Kryptonite enhancements, the others mostly can, and so they clear up a path for the two heroes to fly straight into Brainiac’s ship and face him.

However, Brainiac quickly gains control of Supergirl’s mind and has her fight Superman. The villain reveals he was the one behind Krypton’s destruction. After remembering his childhood, Clark gets a renewed focus on saving Supergirl. It is the shared love in the form of hugs from Clark, Jimmy Olsen, and Lois Lane that breaks Supergirl free of her conditioning. They try to push Brainiac and his ship into the sun, but the villain sends Kara there in his place. Supergirl and Superman discover the sun recharges them, with the twopulling Brainiac’s ship apart and Supergirl finally destroying his body.

How My Adventures With Superman Season 2’s Ending Sets Up The Future Of The Show
