Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. KongUps the Ante in Ambitious Sequel

New Locations, New Titans, and New Perils

DC and Legendary’s universes collided almost two years ago when the Legion of Doom’s Toyman used the Dreamstone to bring the Titans to the DCU to destroy the Justice League. Across the world, DC’s icons fought powerful creatures featured in the MonsterVerse franchise, withGodzilla even eking out a win over Superman. Despite the chaos caused by the Toyman, the Justice League was able to work alongside Godzilla and Kong to defeat the Legion of Doom, the other Titans, and Lex’s reconstruction of Mechagodzilla. The Dreamstone was used to send the Titans back to the MonsterVerse, ending the outrageous invasion.

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2won’t hit shops for another three months, but it’s starting out just as strong as the previous story. Not only does this miniseries have a hell of a premise by switching things up and bringing DC’s characters to the MonsterVerse this time around, it’s bringing in Titans that, sadly, missed the boat last time. Aside from Godzilla and Kong, the first issue’s variants also feature Rodan, Mothra, and Godzilla’s nemesis, King Ghidorah.Add in the prospect of ‘titanized’ DC Universe heroes and villains and this story could be even betterthan the first.

DC’s Next MonsterVerse Crossover is Way More Ambitious Than the Last

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2is Doing Exactly What it Needs to Do

The previous story was great and featured a lot of cool ways of blending the DCU and MonsterVerse, and it looks like this sequel is going even harder than the previous crossover. While fans only get a peek of one ‘titanized’ character in the preview art (King Shark, by the look of it), it’s clear this sequel is ready to go to new heights and outdo the previous entry. Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait a bit longer to see what other crazy things will happen when theJustice Leagueheads to theMonsterVerse.

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2is available on June 4th from DC Comics and Legendary Comics.
