Starting with iOS and iPadOS 17, Apple is allowing users to share an AirTag with others. That will allow more than one person to track its location. We’ll show you everything you need to do to share an AirTag.
How to Share Your AirTag
Before you begin, there are a few important requirements. You can only share an AirTag with five others. You’ll also need toprotect your Apple ID with two-factor authentication. The other person with whom you are sharing the AirTag location must have their own Apple ID and be signed in to iCloud. Everyone also needs iCloud Keychain turned on.
On the item’s main screen, you’re able to see a list of everyone you have invited.

When someone accepts the invitation, they will see the shared AirTag in their Find My app. They will also not receive any tracking notifications when the AirTag is near them.
If your invitation is declined, the person’s name will disappear from your list.

How to Stop Sharing an AirTag
To stop sharing an AirTag location, the process is similar. Once again open up the Find My app and then theItemstab. Choose the AirTag and then the person you are sharing it with. SelectStop Sharingtwice.
Once that occurs, they will no longer see the AirTag location and receive tracking notifications when the AirTag is moving with them.

AirTags Become Even More Useful With Sharing
Now that you can share an AirTag with a family member or friend, they can easily track the location of your item as well. That makes Apple’s handy device even better.
