Can You Get Rid of All Stories on Instagram?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to get rid of Instagram Stories entirely. This would be particularly helpful if you were trying toreduce your Instagram usage. However, you can mute stories you no longer want to see individually.

How to Mute Stories on Instagram
It’s super easy to mute Instagram stories. First, you’ll need to log in to your Instagram app via the mobile app or a mobile browser. Once you’re logged in, you can click on the user’s story directly if it appears in your feed.
If you’re using the mobile app, you’re able to press and hold the story to mute the user immediately. SelectMute Storyand the person’s profile should disappear from the top of your feed.
Once you’re there, click on theFollowingbutton next to the profile picture and selectMutefrom the drop-down list. Press the toggle next toStoriesand you won’t be seeing any Stories from them until you unmute them.
Note that the person you muted will still be able to see your own Stories, and you’ll still see all of their other posts, unlike if you had unfollowed them instead.
Also, their Stories will still show in their profile. They won’t just appear in your feed. If you want to adjust who can see your Stories, you can choose tohide your Instagram Storiesfrom a particular person instead.
It’s easy to see how this method can be time-consuming if you follow a lot of people, but for now, it’s the only way to control the Stories you see on Instagram.
