Pond Moss is a tier-three crafting material inGroundedand can be used to make weapons, armor, and decorations. This resource can also be used to create the valuable Sarah’s Charm. When equipped, this Trinket grants a chance for melee weapon attacks to repair the weapon. Similarly, when blocking attacks with a shield, there is a chance for the shield to repair itself. Since it is a tier-three material, Pond Moss cannot be acquired early on in the game. Players will first need to upgrade their combat abilities.
As with most resources, you need the right tool to harvest Pond Moss.Players must craft the Widow Dagger before they can obtain this material. This means defeating a Black Widow, a tier-three version of a regularSpider inGrounded. Accomplishing this goal is tough enough because they are resistant to Fresh, Salty, and Spicy Elements. However, they receive 25% more damage from Sour. Black Widows are dangerous because they can cause poison and venom in their attacks. Once a Widow Dagger is crafted, players can gather Pond Moss.

Where To Find & Use Pond Moss In Grounded
Seek Out Swamp-like Areas
Pond Moss is one of the game’s most complex materials to harvest. Not only are Black Widows incredibly difficult to fight, but there are few places where the resource even spawns.Players will want to look in the Undershed, Upper Grasslands, and Moldorc Highlands.
Pond Moss will be under the water in each location. Use the Widow Dagger to harvest the material whenever you see it, as quite a few are needed. Sir Sim-Alot has an excellent video on YouTube that provides a visual guide on gathering Pond Moss.

Pond Moss also drops from defeating Spiny Water Fleas, but the drop rate is so low that it may not be worth the effort.
