How to Copy a Mask to Multiple Images in Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom
Have you ever wanted to apply the edits that you made to a photo to another photo? In Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom, you can create masks for just about anything and copy them to multiple different images.
In this tutorial, we’ll show you two different ways you may copy masks in Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom. Let’s get started.

Adobe Sensei Makes It Possible
Thanks to Adobe’s Sensei AI engine, you can copy simple or complex masks to multiple images. This is done by copying and pasting to individual images, or by creating a preset in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom.
The best thing about this technique is that the mask will adapt to the new image, applying the same settings to any number of images that you need to edit.

The process is the same for both programs, but for the sake of our tutorial, we’ll show you how to do it in Lightroom because we’ll be working with JPEG files.

How to Copy a Mask With the Copy and Paste Method
The first method is the quickest and would be useful in situations where you don’t plan on using the same settings for more than a few images. The copy and paste method also works great if you don’t intend to create a preset because your edits are image-specific and likely wouldn’t be applicable to most of your other photos.
In this example, we’ll create a mask of the sky to accomplish two things: darken the blue and remove the texture from the sky. We’ll then copy this mask to a different image out of a set of four that we’ve already imported to Lightroom.

This will result in an AI mask being applied to your new image with the same settings as the previous photo edit.

How to Copy a Mask Using Presets
Let’s copy a mask onto multiple images using a preset that we create. We’ll base this preset on the same edits as the previous example. This time, we’ll start with the second image in our set of four.
The AI does all the rest. The original mask will be copied to the other selected images. And that mask will adapt to the sky in every picture.
Note that if you’ve created a preset for an image that it’s already applied to, you may get additional dialogue boxes if the image is included in the overall selection. Simply chooseReplaceand then continue with the process.
