The character banners forGenshin Impact5.4 have allegedly leaked and, in addition to providing insight into what players can expect in terms of 5-star units in the next patch, the selection of characters may be hinting at the next Chronicled Wish event. The action RPG by HoYoverse is currently in the midst of Version 5.3, an important patch that has brought forth the final chapters of the main Natlan story arc. There are also fournew characters inGenshin Impact5.3, including Mavuika, Citlali, the Pyro Traveler, and Lan Yan, whose release coincides with the Lantern Rite Festival.

Even though the current focus is on Version 5.3 and its contents, some attention is being dedicated to Version 5.4 thanks to the beta tests for the upcoming patch. The tests reveal several points of key information about the next pieces of content, including the new playable character who is called Yumemizuki Mizuki, as well as activities that will keep players entertained during the update’s six-week duration. One of them is rumored to offer players a F2P (free-to-play) 4-star weapon while the other is said to be abattle tower event inGenshin Impact5.4.

All 5-Star Character Banners For Genshin Impact 5.4 Have Leaked

Only One New Character Is Being Added In The Update

Now, apart from the rumors about the new character, all the character banners in Version 5.4 have seemingly leaked, showcasing the 5-star character reruns that players may expect. According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat,Yumemizuki Mizuki and Wriothesley will appear in Phase 1 banners, while Sigewinne and Furina are expected to rerun in Phase 2 banners of Version 5.4. This leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit. The information partially matches previous leaks that hinted at a possibleWriothesley rerun banner inGenshin Impact5.4, which gives it some more credibility.

Genshin Impact 5.4 Leaks: New Free Weapon Seems Capped In A Strange Way

A new F2P event weapon has leaked for Genshin Impact 5.4 and while that would mean good news, it seems like this 4-star item is unreasonably capped.

Another leak by Flying Flame, which was also shared onReddit, confirms the characters and their order in banner phases. If the leaks are true, it’s worth noting that the order of the leaked character banners is still highly subject to change. HoYoverse may swap some characters between phases before the official release. The leak by HomDGCat also shows thatthe 4-star characters Sayu and Chongyun will have increased drop rates duringGenshin Impact5.4, but it doesn’t say in which phase they will be featured nor does it hint at the other four 4-star units with increased drop rates.

There Are No Inazuma Reruns Leaked For Genshin Impact 5.4 Amidst Rumors Of An Inazuma Event

All Rerun Units Are From Fontaine

While the character banners hold much information on their own and Wriothesley’s rerun is much appreciated, the reruns seem like an odd choice for a patch that is rumored to be focused on Inazuma. According to a leak overview of Version 5.4, shared by the leaker known as Genshin Intel,Inazuma will be the stage for the patch’s flagship event, so the main activities will likely revolve around the region. The leak was also posted onReddit. Surely, Mizuki’s release is set to cover the Inazuma theme, but several Inazuma characters have been absent from banners inGenshin Impactlately.

Genshin Impact May Have Just Extended Its Roadmap By A Full Year

A new destination on the Traveler’s journey may have just extended the roadmap for Genshin Impact by a full year, effectively postponing Snezhnaya.

If Inazuma is truly the region for the flagship event of Version 5.4, the absence of more 5-star Inazuma character reruns is easily noted.Players revisiting the Nation of Electro will be unable to pull for units like Raiden Shogun, Ayaka, Ayato, Yae Miko, and Yoimiya, for instance, when at least some of these should be made available for players during the thematic period. Hosting an event in a certain region brings a lot of attention to it and its characters, and adding reruns of these units would be a great way of capitalizing on regional devotion inGenshin Impact.

Instead, it seems like HoYoverse is opting to focus its rerun efforts on Fontaine characters. The Nation of Hydro should be featured in the next patch, too.The Genshin Intel leak shows that there will be an event centered around filming ads, and no other Nation has such advanced filmmaking technology as Fontaine. However, it’s expected to be a much smaller event in comparison to the Inazuma flagship event rumored for Version 5.4. While the absence of Inazuma reruns is notable, it may not be completely true, as they may possibly appear through a newChronicled Wish inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.4 Banners May Confirm Inazuma-Focused Chronicled Wish

This Would Make Up For The Absence Of Inazuma Reruns

After a long absence, HoYoverse brought back the Chronicled Wish system to gacha banners, but with some updated rules. One of the main rules for a character to be featured in it is that they have had one rerun before and that they’ve been absent from banners for a long time, which ended up excluding some characters – one of the most notable examples was Shenhe. In Version 5.3, Chronicled Wish is bringing back Chronicled Wish and Shenhe is among the list of obtainable 5-star Liyue characters and weapons. Something similar may happen withInazuma inGenshin Impact5.4.

Genshin Impact 5.4 Leaks: How Many Primogems Are In Available In The Next Update

The estimated number of Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.4 has leaked and, compared to what was offered in Version 5.3, it’s a very disappointing amount.

Even though there haven’t been leaks about it so far, players may experience an Inazuma-focused Chronicled Wish in the next patch. This would not only explain the absence of more 5-star Inazuma units from character banners but also provide players with the opportunity to pull for several of the characters from the Nation of Electro while they play through the Inazuma-centered flagship event. While there are structural problems with Chronicled Wish, it could be a grand opportunity for players to pull for certain regional characters that haven’t appeared in dedicated banners in a while, such asKokomi inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact’s Yae Miko combs her tail and looks backward with Natlan in the background.

Kokomi hasn’t appeared in banners since Version 3.8, while Ayato’s last rerun occurred in Version 4.2, for example.

For now, the idea of an Inazuman Chronicled Wish is nothing but speculation and, as such, expectations should be contained. However, it’s worth noting that the last Chronicled Wish did not appear in leaks before its official reveal by HoYoverse during the Version 5.3 livestream. Additionally, with its renewed rules, it feels like Chronicled Wish is ready to appear more frequently for players following its somewhat disastrous debut back in Version 4.5 when the developer first experimented with the new gacha system. As such, more Chronicled Wishes may appear inGenshin Impact’s future updates.
