Avengers 5’s Director Rumors Explained
On August 20, 2025, it was revealed byThe Hollywood Reporterthat Levy was reportedly being courted by Disney and Marvel Studios for theAvengers 5directing gig. Levy had reportedly been offered the job back in March, but had to decline due to his other scheduling commitments. The trade also made note that other filmmakers were still being eyed, as a deal with Levy had not been signed at that time.
In mid-July 2024, it was reported that Anthony and Joe Russo, who directedCaptain America: The Winter Soldier,Captain America: Civil War,Avengers: Infinity WarandAvengers: Endgame, were in early talks to return to the MCU to helmAvengers 5andAvengers: Secret Wars.
