Summary
Two belovedDCuniverses appear to be erased from existence inJustice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Part Three, to the surprise of their fans.Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Part Threeconcludes the multiversal catastrophe brought by the Anti-Monitor, instigated by John Constantine and the Flash’s attempt to kill Darkseid when he was a baby. As is usual with time travel, trying to fix the past only makes the future worse, andall DC heroes in the Tomorrowversefind themselves forced to make the ultimate sacrifice to save at least one reality.
TheCrisis On Infinite Earthsevent seems to be a constant in every version of the DC multiverse. The original 1985 comic book event wiped every DC universe to create a single timeline. The Arrowverse’sCrisis on Infinite Earthsachieved a similar feat in 2019, featuring universes such as the 1960sBatmanshow’s Earth-66 andSmallville’s Earth-167. In 2023, Andy Muschietti’sThe Flashrewrote the DCEU’s continuity, featuring versions of Tim Burton’s Earth-89 and Richard Donner’s Earth-789 in the live-action event. Now,the Tomorrowverse’s ownCrisis on Infinite Earthseventfeatures cameos by some famous DC Earths, suggesting a dire fate for their inhabitants.

The Tomorrowverse’s Crisis On Infinite Earths Finale Destroys The DCAU & Super-Friends Universes
DC’s Earth-508 and Earth-2003 Fell Victim To Multiversal Destruction
As the Tomorrowverse’s heroes accept the imminent destruction of almost every reality in the multiverse, they witness the end of some universes individually.Mister Terrific names two of these universes as they are erased from existence:Super Friends' Earth-508 andTeen Titans' Earth-2003. First, Mister Terrific calls attention to Earth-508, where the 1970s Super Friends see Batman receive a final warning in the Hall of Justice. Later on, Mister Terrific informs the heroes that the Anti-Monitor armada is nearing their location, first passing through Earth-2003, where the 2003Teen Titansshow’s Titans Tower can be seen getting obliterated.
As evidenced byKevin Conroy’s last Batman performance,Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3also eliminated the DC Animated Universe, which contained series such asThe Batman Animated SeriesandJustice League Unlimited.

Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths' Universe Destruction Likely Isn’t Permanent Canon
DC’s Multiversal History Can Always Be Rewritten To Save Popular Universes
Likethe DC Animated Movie Universe’sJustice League Dark: Apokolips Warbefore it, the Tomorrowverse’sJustice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Part Threeaims to wipe the slate clean and provide a new beginning to DC’s animated projects. Following DC’s traditional model, this means that the animated multiverse needed to be simplified, and some sacrifices needed to be made. However, this doesn’t mean that famous DC properties likeTeen Titans,Super Friends, and the 1990s DC Animated Universe have ceased to exist forever.Other multiversal events in future iterations of DC’s multiverse can bring erased realities back from the dead.
Every DC Animated Movie Coming In 2024
DC’s upcoming slate of live-action movies may be exciting, but the brand is also set to release several anticipated animated features in 2024.
The multiversal crises seen in live-action movies, live-action TV, and live-action movies don’t seem to affect universes in other formats, and multiple versions of the same universe may exist simultaneously. For instance, The CW’sCrisis on Infinite Earthsand the DCEU’sThe Flashtime-travel plot featured similar but inherently different versions ofTim Burton’sBatmanuniverse, as well as different takes on the end of Richard Donner’sSupermanuniverse. While Earth-509, Earth-2003, and Earth-12 seem to have been erased permanently inJustice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Part Three, it’s possible that these are slightly different versions of the universes seen in their respective original shows.
