Could Soren Become A Spartan In Halo Season 3?
TheHaloseason 2ending changed the game, with massive repercussions for a season 3. John-117 finally made it to the Halo ring, Doctor Halsey became infected by the Flood, and Soren lost his wife Faera to the parasitic alien species. The season also set up the idea that Soren could potentially rejoin the ranks of the Spartans, which could be even more likely given that multiple Spartans were killed throughout season 2.
Soren’s Spartan futuremay be up in the air, but the former candidate seems to have softened his position toward the elite group over the course ofHaloseason 2. He shows a willingness to let his son Kessler endure a test Soren himself faced as a budding Spartan, admitting he found value in the experience. Additionally, a driving reason behind Soren’s escape from the Spartan program early in his life was his disagreement with the government structure around him. With the fall of Reach and humanity facing defeat at the hands of the Covenant, Soren could decide to prioritize the survival of the human race.
It’s currently unknown whetherHaloseason 3will be greenlit, but Soren suiting up in Spartan armor may also continue to help his storyline fit more seamlessly into the overall series narrative. The storylines of Soren and his companion Kwan Ha were criticized by some duringHaloseason 1, largely because they seemed a detour from the human/Covenant conflict. WhileHaloseason 2 put Soren closer to the action, the privateer finding his way back to the Spartans could be an exciting payoff to the trajectory of his journey so far.

The Master Chief is supported by Cortana (Jen Taylor) - an AI construct based on the personality of Dr. Catherine Halsey, who created the Spartan supersoldier program - implanted in his brain.
