Netflixand Studio Orange’s hit seriesBeastarshas finally confirmed a release date for its highly anticipated third and final season, putting an end to a three-year-long wait. Based on the manga by Paru Itagaki,Beastars' anime adaptation was an instant hit and fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the third season ever since it was first announced back in July 2021, and fortunately the wait is finally over.
According to a post on X byMangaMoguraRE, part 1 of the final season ofBeastarsis set to bereleased on Netflix in December 2024. The announcement was accompanied by a brand-new key visual featuring Legoshi standing in the black market looking up at the sky wistfully in the background.
The new visual also teases new characters of Gohin and Yahya who can be partially seen in the forefront ominously eyeing Legoshi. According to Netflix, thefinal season ofBeastarswill be made up of two parts, though the release window for part two is yet to be revealed. It is also doubtful whether the final season even in two parts will be able to cover the entirety of the remaining manga faithfully.

The Final Season Will Be Composed of Two Parts
The third and final season ofBeastarsis expected to delve deeper into Legoshi’s character and past, particularly the source ofLegoshi’s obsession with Haru and other herbivoresfor that matter. However, it is doubtful whether the final season will be able to do the manga justice, as there are approximately 96 chapters left to adapt.
Season 2 ofBeastarsadapted the manga until chapter #100 which marks the very beginning of the Interspecies Relations Arc, which spans chapters 100-123. While each episode of the anime has previously covered quite a few chapters per episode, it is yet to be seen whether the final season will be able to properly adapt both the Interspecies Relations Arc and the Revenge of the Love Failure Arc without the series coming off as incredibly rushed. That said, the episode count, when revealed, will likely provide an answer in that regard.
