Android 12 is now landing on all Samsung Galaxy S20 devices in the US
Samsung has beenaggressivein rolling out One UI 4.0 (and, as such, Android 12) to its phones and the Galaxy S20 series of devices have been no exception. Abeta programrolled out in November while the stable, global OTA camejust before the new year. Now, it’s live for all US-based S20 devices, regardless of carrier.
Big Red has published information on the One UI 4 updates for theGalaxy S20(with Ultra Wideband support, of course), theS20+,S20 Ultra, and evenS20 FE. All updates feature security patches from December which is somewhat unfortunate since the January level includes a fix forthe recent 911 call disruption issueon the OS side.
Verizon has been moving software updates for the main S20 model on a monthly basis as of late. According toAT&T’s website, the last update it has passed along to the S20 was in July (thoughone user has claimedthat they received a September update through the network).T-Mobile’s last published updatewas on August 29 with the one previous to that on June 11. In any case, let’s hope the others follow suit quickly.

T-Mobile follows suit
Following up three weeks after the initial release and over a month after the initial rollout (what took so long?), One UI 4 is now finally rolling out toGalaxy S20, S20+, andS20 Ultrausers on T-Mobile. The company has published info about the update on its support website, meaning that, if you don’t already have it, an update is now imminent.

Something to note here is that the update comes with the December 2021 security patch as we’re mere hours of entering February, so it’s safe to say it went through one intense round of carrier validation. Nonetheless, those of you on T-Mobile who were jealous of your Verizon and unlocked peers will be happy to know that the update isfinallylanding.
It should be noted thatGalaxy S20 FEusershave had the updatefor a few weeks now.
