Building up your CAMP inFallout 76is essential, as is finding the right items. Once you have a CAMP up and running, there are some items you will want to prioritize over others that will help you progress. There are some basics that everyone needs, but there are also some items that will be more important as you get further in the game.

Items inFallout 76are quite important throughout the game, as many of themgive you buffs or perform functionsthat you cannot play properly without. Some of these items are locked behind certain story missions, but for most early items, themissions are not hard and are mostly dialogue-focused. Once they are done, you can keep building up your CAMP and grab some nonessential but very cool items.

One Huge Fallout 76 Revelation Proves Your Building Efforts May Have Been Futile

Players are tasked with rebuilding Appalachia in Fallout 76, but one detail about the game’s setting may prove that these efforts are pointless.

8Bed

Rested Buff

While it may seem obvious, the Bed is one of themost important CAMP items you can include in the base. It does not matter what kind of Bed you use, as several varieties are available throughout the game, but you will want it to be one of the first things you build. A simple, modern Bed plan can bebought from Pendleton or Grahm for 100 Caps.

Any Bed will give you the Well Rested buff, although a Sleeping Bag will just give you Rested. Additionally, if an Ally is present in the CAMP, you will get a Kindred Spirit buff, and if that Ally has been romantically wooed, you will get theLover’s Embrace buff.

7Stash Box/Vault-Tec Stash

Inventory Storage

Another extremely important item, theStash box inFallout 76, is likely one of the first things you will put down. This allows you to dump your inventory and save it for another day. All Stash boxes owned by the same individual will have the same content regardless of where it is, allowing you to access it wherever you can put it down. They can hold atotal of 1200 pounds.

Other players on the same servercan not see someone else’s Stash inventory.

A Brahmin and a Fertilizer Producer in Fallout 76

These containers are incredibly useful andlet you access your inventorywithout carrying everything with you. However, since it does have a limit, you will still want to sell off what you do not think you will need. The basic version of the container isunlocked by default.

6The Fertilizer Producer

Brahmin Production

The biggest reason to use this item is that itpassively creates fertilizerby spawning a brahmin that wanders around the area directly nearby. It can store up to 5 units of fertilizer, which can be used to make and grow crops. Additionally, the brahmin can be milked (carefully) toget Brahmin Milk. This gives you a way to produce more crops and get extra substance in the form of milk.

The plan for this can be found in many locations, includingany lootable area on the world map, and it can be awarded for various quests and events. You can also have a chance to get it fromDaily Ops.

5Vending Machine

Become A Vendor

Having a Vending Machine in your CAMP willallow players to sell items to each otherand mark your CAMP as a Vendor location. you may sell items by marking them as for sale in your Stash, and you willreceive 90% of the sale price. This is a great way to get rid of items you don’t need and get something in return.

If you lose power or an enemy destroys the machine, yourCAMP will lose the Vendor iconuntil this has been resolved.

3Ally

Companion Buffs

While this is not strictly an item, it is in the sense that you have to build an item for them to summon them to your CAMP. There are18 possible Allies with an associated item, and three are currently romanceable. Most have an associated location or quest or can be found in the Atom store. Once their object is built, they will be added to the CAMP andgive you a daily buff. Preferably, you will want to pick one who can at least give you the Kindred Spirit buff.

Beckett, Sofia, and Adelaide are all possibleromance options inFallout 76.

You can only have1 Ally object in your CAMP at a time, and they can be switched out by removing their object and adding another one. However, some CAMP slots can have different allies added to them.

2Workbenches

Simple But Effective

Players can build several different workbenches in their CAMP. Some can be built right away, but others must be completed by completing some veryearly-game quests. Thirst Things First will unlock the Chemistry Workbench. Second Helpings will unlock the Tinker’s Workbench. Both of thesemakeessential items inFallout 76, like ammo and aid items, making it important to make these items a priority.

Other crafting stations for specific use cases likeArmor, Cooking, and Weapons exist. Having these workbenches can help, but priorities should be the Chemistry and Tinker’s Workbench once you’re able to get them.MrWestTek’s video has some pointers about how to reach these specific quests.

1Sympto-Matic

Cure All

If you do not want your ally slot taken up by the doctor, you can use the Sympto-Matic instead totreat your wounds and any conditions. It has several different abilities in the lore, but realistically, it cancure any disease you have, which makes it helpful to have on hand as you will not have to make many aid items or find a doctor.

You have to have quite a high level to get this one, as you willneed Level 50 to earn it through the Daily Op rewards. However, the plan for it can also bebought from Minerva, but it is an item on rotation, so you will have to check with her often. If it is there, it will cost 2000 Caps to get this item inFallout 76.
