1.Mage.space

Mage.space is an online AI image generation platform with more than 160 available models. The tool is fantastic for creating impressive AI images of all kinds. With the right prompts, you’re able to turn mage.space into a simple comic generator. It’s not perfect, though, and might produce images with some defects.

In my example, I used the following prompt: “Calvin and Hobbes, comic, similar, multiple panes.” While it’s not perfect, it does a great job at creating a simple comic, and by tweaking the prompt, you’re able to probably get it to output text properly.

If you’re struggling to get satisfactory outputs, you can try using aChatGPT Chrome extension for better AI promptsas a guide.

2.Fantoons

Fantoons is an AI image generator, but it differs in a few ways from the more mainstream alternatives. On the site, you’re presented with a list of options to choose from. These include a fandom, character, style, and universe.

By selecting different options, you customize the prompt for the output. When you pressGenerate, an image is produced. Then, you may pressNextto add and customize a caption. Finally, hitPublishto create your image.

In my example, I selected Harry Potter, Luna Lovegood, photorealistic, and cyberpunk. It’s worth noting that all creations can be considered single-pane comics. You can use the site multiple times and then usefree photo editing softwareto combine the outputs together to create more complex comics.

3.Storywizard.ai

Storywizard.ai is a site meant for generating personalized educational experiences through the power of AI. With the proper prompts, you can use it to generate rather lengthy, but simple, comics with multiple pages. The key word here is “simple.”

On the site, clickCreate a storyto get started. Then, enter some keywords, and it’ll generate a full story for you. I used the following prompt in my example: “MUO, tech guru, help readers.”

It put together a 15-page story about an entrepreneur named MUO who was set on helping the world learn about technology. While the story was a bit silly in parts, it was a speedy process, and the output is quite impressive.

4.AI Comic Factory

AI Comic Factory is a website that offers AI-generated comic panels using SDXL. Creating prompts for this web app is simple, and you should always keep them short. you’re able to use generic terms and can select from a variety of styles.

Some styles include:

You can toggle captions on or off and redraw any panels that aren’t to your liking. In my example, I used “Iron Man becomes a computer hacker.” I’m happy with the results, but it’s worth giving the other styles a try.

5.Plugger.ai

Plugger.ai offers a variety of models for generating simple comics. Its UI is somewhat similar to ChatGPT, using a chat format instead of a section for a prompt and a button to generate.

You can select from various styles, including LazrPop XL, Niji Special Edition SDXL, ComicCraft, and many more. It’s worth noting that you only get 30 free credits every month. Depending on your prompts, this can produce five to fifteen images a month.

For my example, I chose ComicCraft and used the prompt “American, 1950, captain america, standing tall, proud.” While my example doesn’t have a caption or speech bubble, you can add that as a detail to your prompt and get mixed results.
